SMI's FREE Energy Audit will identify energy loss and emissions due to insulation failure, under-insulation or non-insulation of building pipes and equipment. This process begins with an evaluation of all site mechanical insulation systems. Using infrared thermal imaging equipment, a trained SMI technician will pinpoint areas of heat loss. This inspection includes steam and condensate systems, piping, valves and fittings; as well as hot gas ductwork or related heat recovery equipment, along with boilers, sidewalls, headers, turbines and other power or production components.
The data generated will then be compiled and analyzed using our state-of-the-art software program; which will generate insulation recommendations as well as calculate the energy cost savings of adding or repairing insulation in the building areas identified. As already stated, the typical Return on Investment (ROI) for insulation is less than six months!
